How to plan your working week outfits
A new working week is upon us. With the change of seasons, I've been going through my wardrobe and doing an edit and re-organising everything so that I know what's in there! It's something that I'm always suggesting you do because it's one of the key things that helps you to be less stressed about the "what to wear" question. You can read my tips on how to edit your wardrobe here.
And when it comes to reducing the stress of what to wear during the working week, I find that a little pre-planning on a Sunday afternoon or evening goes a long way to making the morning routine run a little more smoothly.
Every Sunday I make time to map out an outfit plan for the week ahead. I check the weather app to see if I need to plan for cooler or warmer weather. And I also check the calendar to see if I've got meetings out or (gasp) an event*. I write this down in the Notes app on my phone so it's there as a reference every morning for me. I also hang key pieces on a small clothing rack. This helps as a visual reference point.
With many people either still working fully from home or doing a mix of home and office, your weekday wardrobe will work better for you when it's built on versatile pieces that feel comfortable enough for home but can be elevated with a blazer and change of shoe for the office.
