Play matchy-matchy to elevate these summer looks

One of the strongest trends this season is the "set", the matching of two or more separates in the same colour and fabric. Why are they so hot right now? I think it appeals to our sense of order and control (when we've had another year of not being able to control the big things) but I think it's also about how elevated an outfit can look when you've purposely combined like pieces.

That's exactly how I felt for an end-of-year, school mum's lunch on a hot, humid Brisbane afternoon. I felt cool and put together - something that I struggle with when the heat is on.

Of course the bonus of buying separates to create one look is that you can wear them for another occasion separately, creating completely different looks.
